Dr. Majid Ali
Two decades shaping pharmacy and medical education across the UK, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia and Malaysia. Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator, board-certified clinical pharmacist and award-winning researcher in AI-supported learning.
"Teaching is the most clinical thing I do. Everything I learn at the bedside finds its way back into the classroom."
A practitioner who teaches. A teacher who practises.
Dr. Majid Ali is a pharmacy academic and clinical pharmacist whose career bridges bedside practice, classroom design and the responsible use of AI in medical education. He currently teaches pharmacology at the College of Medicine, Sulaiman Al-Rajhi University, and is completing a PhD on personalised learning in higher education at the University of Malaysia.
Over more than two decades, he has held senior lectureships and adjunct fellowships across the UK, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Australia and Malaysia — designing OSCEs, building virtual simulation pharmacies, co-founding the MyDispense Saudi Community, and mentoring early-career academics through the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
His current research and international speaking focus on AI in medical education — comparing AI-generated feedback with human tutoring, and helping faculties think clearly about where AI helps and where it shouldn't.
Where clinical pharmacy, pedagogy and AI meet.
